Filmmaker from Colombia celebrates 808 day (which is today) with the release of a new EP called Skeleton Key. It’s available digitally on bandcamp and consists of 3 new tracks created with the TR-808 and an Oberheim synthesizer. Listen to the opening track ”Eat My Aura” below, which might be one of the grooviest Filmmaker tracks to date.
It also warmed my heart to hear Helena Hauff dropping a track from Filmmaker’s Code Breakers EP in her closing set at the Radar stage for Dekmantel Ten last weekend. It was such a huge moment, since she was also playing b2b with Marcel Dettman and seeing hundred of people go wild to this sound that I first discovered about 5 years ago. Full circle moment!
