Cheree is a new force to reckoned with from Oakland. Together with Cherub Dream (a San Francisco zine and label highlighting queer and poc artists) they’ve just released their debut EP. Factory is a 6-track tape that casts it net wide as far as inspiration is concerned. There’s the claustrophobic sound of Deftones but also birdsong, industrial noise and some definite Lydia Lunch vibes on tracks like “Churn Down”. Out since a week ago.
