Silica debuts on Berlin label Post Hoc with a selftitled LP, out since a few days back. The product of Berlin native Valentin Masé, Silica follows a string of releases under his own name (most recently an EP on Abyss). Blending the experimental electronic sound of past releases with darkwave and shoegaze, the 9 tracks on offer also feature vocals lurking at the back of the mix. Curiously, the first release on Post Hos was also called Silica but there’s seems to be no relation between these projects.
