I’d forgotten to check in with Toxic State Records for a while and one of their best releases of this year is the debut from Ataque Subliminal. Well it’s basically a demo tape, but these players are all part of the New York punk and hardcore scene. That it was recorded at Kaleidoscope’s D4MT Labs says a lot and drummer Corey Rose Evans has played in most of the great bands in Olympia (Vexx, Stiff Love, G.L.O.S.S.) and more recently Clock of Time. Steph Pettit is active in Church Clothes, who cut a nice 7″ earlier this year. These 4 tracks, sung in Spanish are hard to sit down to.
