Drugdealer

I hadn’t really listened to Drugdealer until I realised Shags Chamberlain was playing with them. But their new album Raw Honey is really great, in the same way that The Band once was. Even the track with Weyes Blood on vocals is better than most everything on her recent LP. It’s kind of ironic that this era of fear and totalitarianism has yielded such a freewheeling, feelgood album, but I guess the early 70s were no different. If you liked the recent Chris Cohen record, this one will have leaning back even further in your vintage armchair. It’s out on Mexican Summer as of last week.
