It’s been half a year already, since Music Yared (the Melbourne trio of East African artists Anbessa Gebrehiwot and Haftu Reda) released their first EP on Music In Exile. Now “Sindayo” is coming out in remixed form, courtesy of Mikey Young. The two different versions focus on their individual instruments the krar and the masinko – traditional string instruments from Eritrea and Ethiopia. The 12″ is out in a couple of weeks but you can already listen to the radio edit of one of the sides and watch the promotional video.
