Auton

Left Hand Path is a San Francisco label that have been far from prolific but still manage to surprise with every release. After a quiet 2020, they’re now back with a cassette from Auton, based in Pittsburgh. The politically charged Without Hindrance follows the Tute Bianche 12″ that came out on the awesome TRAM Planet in 2019. Apparently inspired by anarchism and groups like the Situationist International, “Can Dialectics Break Bricks?” was e.g. the title of a 1973 film. “Tout va bien” sounds nothing like a Godard soundtrack though, it’s all minimal electronic music with percussion that makes your head spin. The b-side of the tape consists of remixes of the first side.
