Dreadful Activist is another alias of Aden Melvin, also known as Ludgate Squatter. Melvin is originally from Manchester but has been based in Glasgow for some time. Here he has teamed up with the fresh-faced Schematic label, which is also a radio show on Subcity. Subcity has a special place in my heart since that’s were I did my first radio show as a Glasgow uni student around 2007. On Schematic 002 we get five tracks of hardcore techno and crazy breaks. All proceeds go to Launchfoods (a Glasgow charity committed to feeding the city’s kids).
