14th Wish

RECORD TURNOVER 80s HITS #39

“Here we have a band with no paper trail, zero online search results, and released in a tiny quantity on Orange Records in 1980, right alongside the first GG Allin and Eddie Criss Group LPs.” That’s what Hozac say about their archival release of the 14th Wish single “I Gotta Get Rid of You”, originally released 40 years ago. With its buzzsaw sound, I got it placed right up there with Voice of the Puppets and some of the most classic punk singles ever. The New York group was lead by vocalist Halo Peace and has remained virtually unknown until this heaven sent reissue from May last year.
