They may not be the smartest players in the business, but Smarts sure know how to get those heads bobbin. If they were they wouldn’t have recorded their first album in a DIY studio in Geelong outside Melbourne. But they did, and it’s a raw batch of tunes that are still rough around the edges to keep you on your toes. The musicians all play in other bands (Living Eyes, Alien Nosejob and Parsnip just to name a few) but this their most interesting project right now, and the live shows have been stunning. They keep it tight, fast and in your face – just like on the first single “Cling Wrap”. The LP is packed with 12 more breakneck bangers and drops on Anti Fade/Feel It a month from now.
