UK cassette label Gob Nation have released a neat cassingle from Glasgow-based artist Cal Donnelly’s latest project The Liquidators. With a history in bands like Kaputt and the fabulous Rapid Tan, his new single “Waving Goodbye” is a mix of brash synth-punk and introspective post-punk. The b-side “Married to Your Mind” makes me think of the exuberant spirit of Yummy Fur (who received the retrospective treatment by Rock Action last year). Check out the video for the a-side, I think it’s brilliant.
