Steffi is one of Berlin’s foremost DJs and also the head of the Klakson label. Back 2013 the first track from psuedonym Crushed Soul appeared on an Ostgut Ton compilation. In a few weeks, the first Crushed Soul EP is coming out on US label Dark Entries and the artwork (designed by Eloise Leigh) looks enticing. You can check out the opening track “Gravitational Field” now, which will ensnare you with its bleak rhythms. The EP is called Family of Waves and showcases the more industrial, Detroit-style side of Steffi’s output.
