Kanot is a rather new musical project from Gothenburg, Sweden. Featuring Jesper Jarold from Fontän and Anton Kolbe from Tross (yeah they seem to like water-themed names up there), their debut 45 came out on Höga Nord Rekords last year. The music is still lightly psychedelic with Eastern tinges over funky grooves. Their new single “Nectar Eyes” that just came out, is equal parts Kikagaku Moyo and Mildlife. Apparently this was the first track they recorded together, but it seems to blend together perfectly and suggests that there is a lot to look forward to from Kanot in the future. I love the cover as well, even though this seems to be a digital single only, released by the band themselves.
