Days of a Quiet Sun comp

Richmond label Feel It have unearthed a piece of local rock history with their new compilation Days of a Quiet Sun. The record, that drops next month, tells the story of Martin Gary who was the son of a record store owner. Martin wanted to produce bands as a teen and eventually set up a label called Groove, to release music by some talented garage and crossover groups. Several bands and label followed, including the psychedelic Group Nine. In 1968 he helped write and release The Barracudas’ groundbreaking “Days of a Quiet Sun”.
