We wrote about Pleasure Leftists back in July but completely missed the other bands they share members with. The Cowboy have a new EP out on Drunken Sailor next week but during the autumn the same label aslo put out a mini-LP from The Mind. Apart from being the best band name since Pleasure Leftists, what makes it even better is that they have their own theme tune. “The Mind” sounds like scraps from some Detriti release that didn’t make the cut. I think this description from bandcamp says it all: “the post-punk band Priss from Blade Runner might have formed in a left-of-centre attempt to pass the Voight-Kampff test.” Edge of the Planet should have been on our top albums list, sorry bout that.
