Post The Jeanies group Velveteen Rabbit from New York released a nice little glam-flavoured 45 last year on Hozac. Now they’re back with a full album, that closes off with the two tracks from the single. On the acoustic “Guitar” and “Star In the Making” they sound like Big Star, but most of the rest is much more groovy. “I’ll Be a Boy For You” moves over a disco beat with laser guitars. “The Gunman” is my favourite track and sports a more straightforward powerpop sound.
