After putting out the great new single by Power, Feel It Records have unearthed a great new band on their own turf. Back in Richmond, there’s a new psychedelic punk band called Slump and they’ve just released their debut album on the label. Titles like “Desire Death Drifter” speak their clear language. There are echoes of The Stooges and MC5 of course, but also stoner, hardcore and sludge. Flashbacks from Black Dust Country is a heady trip, and maybe not for everyone. But the cover art is great, isn’t it?
