Bloomington native Amy Oelsner has been recording as Amy O for about 15 years without making much of a fuss. That changed when Elastic came out two years ago. It was her second studio album and came out on the Winspear label (also home to Barrie). This year sees her return with a new album on the label, called Shell. It’s out in October and the first single was just released. “Planet Blue” is pretty much as far you can get from King Gizzard’s “Planet B”. This is light-hearted pop about broken hearts complete with ba-ba-ba backing vocals.
