RECORD TURNOVER 80s HITS #13

bIG fLAME was the name of the Manchester trio that should either have existed in New York, 1981, or in New York, 2001. Definitely not in dreary England’s mid-80s. Inspired by DNA, Lettrism and jazz, the group released a bunch of angry, spiky records on Ron Johnson Records. Also check out this live video from Glasgow, where the group play “XPQWRTZ” from their Cubist Pop Manifesto EP. I fondly remember the blog that was named after this track.
