Bitumen is a postpunk group from Melbourne that anyone who likes CC Dust or Masses (another great Melbourne group) will dig. I missed out on the fact that their debut LP came out in October, but I thought I’d tell you about it now. It’s called Discipline Reaction and was produced together with Alexander Anglias of The Faculty (another band we’re written about on here). Check out the video for “Twice Shy” and the rest of the album over at bandcamp. Kate Binnings vocals are quite far back in the mix, but perfectly fills out the rather hollow sound of Bitumen.
